Visualization is much more than imagination. We need to take action to bring your ideas to reality. It’s only real that the average person has little reason to believe there is such a thing as wealth without work. Legal and ethical strategies at least, so that is why you need to put your ideas into action.
It may be fun to day dream, but it can be counter-productive. When we have not defined achievable goals, we can quickly have our hopes dashed. You have probably heard the expressions to ‘aim high’ and ‘dream big’. However if we set such lofty goals that they may be impossible to achieve at this point in our business’ development, this can become discouraging. This is exaggerated if the person really thinks they can earn money instantly by magic or osmosis, and what a crashing disappointment when they find out nothing could be further from the truth.
Like most budding online home business entrepreneurs, there may be lots of false starts. Until we create a real plan with reasonable expectations, we are just wasting time and resources – ‘spinning our wheels’. We need to get real. Ask yourself if your plan is feasible at this time, considering your skill-set, financial position, and available time.
The ‘key to success is to stay in the game’. There won’t even be a slim chance of success if we have given up on making it happen. However, if we can just keep trying, even though we have not actually achieved anything tangible, there is still a chance things will start improving eventually. If we quit too soon, we will never know what we might have achieved.
If you need something that provides a commitment, such as a job where you work X number of hours for X dollars, then get a job, or a second job. However if you want to see how far you can go, you may have to take a risk that your time and effort will result in a greater reward than you can expect within the business model that provides the structure of having a job with guaranteed pay.
If we want our own business enough that we are willing to endure almost anything within reason to achieve it, then we will eventually find a way to make it happen. While it is important to take action while we are feeling inspired, we need to remember to be realistic both about what we need to do and what we can logically expect to achieve. If we can work within those parameters, we will have the foundation for a successful home business.1.
