Following instructions is the key to learning. It may sound really silly to even say that but you would be amazed at how many people do not read simple directions. If they are sent instructions, they don’t even bother to read them but will reply to ask exactly what had been explained, time and time again.
If we wannabe an entrepreneur and have our own business, it is likely we consider ourselves ‘individualists’ and ‘non-conformists’ who ‘think outside the box’. The thing is though that if you don’t know how to do something then you need to learn. You can change it around and do it better later, but you have to have a starting point, which ideally would be instructions from someone who has successfully done what you want to do.
In other words, you need to know what is in the box before you can think outside. If not then you will just continue to spin your wheels and will never find out how to actually do anything substantial toward the end of having your own successful home business. It is not beneath anyone that they have to learn how things are done. Even the experts we are not listening to had to learn from someone in the beginning.
At the same we so want to do things our own way, there can also be the pitfall of expecting others to do for you what you should know how to do. If you are fortunate enough to have the money to pay others to run your business, it is still a very good idea for you to know what they are doing and how they are doing it. Not just so you can maintain control, but so that you can run your own business if you ever need to.
Most decent Internet programs provide at least basic training on what their product is and how to promote it to earn commissions. They may or may not go into detail and may assume that you know what terminology like ‘autoresponder’ means. If not then the responsibility is yours to find out what it is, how to get it and then how to set it up and use it.
That all sounds more ominous than it really is, mostly because you never heard the word before. Almost everything comes with directions to some degree. Every website has a ‘contact us’ or support link on it where you can ask questions; and if you are willing to read the response and follow the instructions you should begin to see the light. If not, anybody of any age or level of education can run a query (search) on a search engine to ask almost any question in the world, and can get multiple resources that they can use to learn how to do just about anything for free.
